Coatbridge nestles snugly within Scotland’s Central Lowlands. It lies roughly 6 miles (9.7 km) south of Cumbernauld, 9 miles (14.5 km) east of Glasgow, 2 miles (3 km) west of Airdrie, and 34 miles west of Edinburgh.  It’s Scotland’s eight largest town. 

Coatbridge,Drumpellier Country Park situated along Monklands Parish, North Lanarkshire, Drumpellier Country Park covers 500 acres of area.  It lies more than a mile (2 kms) northwest of Coatbridge.  It features extensive woodlands, a visitor center and a butterfly house. It boosts of golf course and other recreational facilities. Drumpellier Country Park  also serves as habitat for the several specie of birds, particularly water birds. The park is an ideal place for camping, picnics, playing golf, for nature treks, or leisure walks.
